Encouragement of Climb is a television series that originally premiered in 2013 and is classified under the animation, action and adventure, and comedy genres. The series features characters including Hinata Kuraue. The plot follows a character named Aoi, who prefers indoor hobbies and suffers from a fear of heights. Her childhood friend Hinata loves to show off her passion for mountain climbing. As young children, the two once watched the sunrise from the top of a mountain. Deciding to take up mountain climbing again in hopes of seeing that sunrise once more, they engage in activities such as cooking battles with mountaineering gear and climbing small hills in their neighborhood. Along the way, they meet new mountaineering friends, including fellow mountaineering enthusiasts, as they learn the ropes of the hobby and work toward eventually seeing that sunrise again.
