Doom 2005

Overview

The 2005 film Doom follows a specialized military unit known as the Rapid Response Tactical Squad. Led by a commander named Sarge, the team is dispatched to a science facility located on Mars following a reported security breach. Upon their arrival, the marines discover that the distress signal originated after a test subject escaped containment. This individual, a convicted mass murderer, had been purposefully injected with alien DNA, which allowed him to break free and begin killing the facility staff. Dr. Grimm, who shares a familial connection with the team member known as Reaper, provides the unit with critical information regarding the situation. She explains that the alien chromosome has the capacity to mutate human beings into monsters. Furthermore, the substance is identified as being highly infectious, posing a severe threat to the squad as they navigate the facility. The narrative centers on the marines as they confront the lethal consequences of these genetic experiments while attempting to contain the spreading danger within the isolated Martian research base.
