Rosamund Mary Ellen Pike is a British actress and producer born on January 27, 1979, in Hammersmith, London, England. The daughter of opera singers Julian Pike and Caroline Friend, she spent her early childhood traveling throughout Europe before attending Badminton School in Bristol. Pike is recognized for her portrayals of complex and morally ambiguous women, particularly within the genres of independent cinema, psychological thrillers, and dramas. Throughout her professional career, she has earned numerous accolades, including a Golden Globe Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Laurence Olivier Award.
