Overview

Bocchi the Rock! is an anime television series based on a four-koma manga written and illustrated by Aki Hamaji. The original manga series has been serialized in Manga Time Kirara MAX since 2018. The television adaptation, produced by the animation studio CloverWorks, aired from October to December 2022. The story follows Hitori Gotoh, a shy and lonely high school student who is passionate about playing the guitar. Despite her social anxiety and doubts, she dreams of joining a musical group. Her life begins to change when she meets Nijika Ijichi and is recruited as the guitarist for a group known as Kessoku Band. As she integrates into the band, Hitori works toward her dream of succeeding as a musician. The series features voice performances by Yoshino Aoyama, Sayumi Suzushiro, Saku Mizuno, and Ikumi Hasegawa. The project is available for streaming on platforms such as Crunchyroll, which offers the series in both subbed and dubbed formats for viewers.
