Overview

Ahiru no Sora is an anime television series based on the basketball-themed manga written and illustrated by Takeshi Hinata. The story follows the main character, Kurumatani Sora, who is described as short and weak. After transferring to a new school, Sora joins the high school basketball club. Upon his arrival, he discovers that his teammates are unmotivated and do not care about the game. To achieve success in basketball, Sora must work to change their minds and inspire them to commit to the sport. The anime adaptation was produced by Diomedéa and consists of 50 episodes. The series was broadcast in Japan from October 2019 to September 2020, airing every Wednesday evening. The original source material, which shares the title Ahiru no Sora, has been serialized in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine since December 2003. The title translates to Sky of the Duck or Sora the Duck. The television series features voice acting contributions from Yûki Kaji, Katsuyuki Konishi, James Marler, and Yuma Uchida.
