David Nesta Ziggy Marley, also known as David Marley, is a Jamaican reggae musician born on October 17, 1968, in Kingston, Jamaica. He is the son of Bob Marley and Rita Marley. Marley led the family band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers until 2002, performing alongside his siblings Cedella, Sharon, and Stephen, and releasing eight studio albums with the group. Following the disbandment, he launched a solo career, releasing eight solo studio albums through his own record company, Tuff Gong Worldwide. Marley is an eight-time Grammy Award winner and a Daytime Emmy Award recipient.
