Biography
Yoko Asagami is a Japanese voice actress born on July 10, 1952, in Otaru, Hokkaido. She is represented by the agency Aksent and is also known by her married name, Yoko Okubo. Asagami is recognized for her voice acting work, most notably as Yuki Mori in Space Battleship Yamato and Saeko Nogami in City Hunter. In 1992, she began studying the traditional Japanese storytelling art of kodan under master Teisui Ichiryusai. By 2004, she achieved the status of a star kodanshi. When performing as a storyteller, she uses the professional art-name Harumi Ichiryusai.
