Biography
Taichirō Hirokawa (広川 太一郎) was a Japanese voice actor and narrator born in Tokyo on 15 February 1939. He pursued a career in voice work, becoming a prominent dubbing artist for Japanese television. Hirokawa was regularly selected as the Japanese voice for several international stars, providing the consistent dubbing voice for Tony Curtis, Roger Moore, Robert Redford, Dan Aykroyd and Michael Hui across multiple films. In addition to these recurring assignments, he performed one‑time dubbing roles for actors such as Adam West, George Lazenby, Gian Maria Volonté and Gene Wilder. Hirokawa died of cancer on 3 March 2008 in Shibuya, Tokyo, concluding a distinguished career in Japanese voice acting.
