Warren Albert Stevens was an American stage, screen, and television actor born on November 2, 1919, in Clark's Summit, Pennsylvania. He died on March 27, 2012, at the age of 92. A founding member of The Actor's Studio in New York, Stevens gained notice on Broadway in the late 1940s, with his first Broadway role in The Life of Galileo. Following this, he was offered a Hollywood contract at 20th Century Fox. His film career began with a role in The Frogmen, and as a studio contract player, he appeared in films including Phone Call from a Stranger, Wait Till the Sun Shines, Nellie, Gorilla at Large, and Forbidden Planet, where he played Doc Ostrow, alongside supporting roles in The Barefoot.
