Telma Louise Hopkins is an American actress and singer who was born on October 28, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky. She rose to prominence as a member of the 1970s pop music group Tony Orlando and Dawn, which achieved several number-one songs. Hopkins also performed on the CBS variety show Tony Orlando and Dawn from 1974 until 1976 alongside Tony Orlando and Joyce Vincent Wilson. As an actress, she is known for her work in the television series Family Matters, which began in 1989, and Half & Half, which began in 2002, as well as the film The Love Guru from 2008. She was previously married to Donald B. Alen.
