Tara Platt is an American film and television actress and voice actress who was born on June 18, 1978, in Fairfax, Virginia. She studied at Rutgers University and the London Academy of Theatre, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre arts. Platt is married to fellow voice actor Yuri Lowenthal. Together, Platt and her husband wrote the books Voice-Over Voice Actor: What It's Like Behind the Mic and its continuation, Voice-Over Voice Actor: The Extended Edition, which offer tips and information for aspiring voice actors. Platt has performed in stage productions including Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Taming of the Shrew, and First Nights: Clara and Robert Schumann. On screen, she has appeared in television shows such as Scandal, Hawaii Five-0, and Castle, as well as the film The Call starring Halle Berry.
