Biography
Steven John Carell is an American actor and comedian born on August 16, 1962. He is widely recognized for his role as Michael Scott in the television series The Office, which aired from 2005 to 2011. During his tenure on the show, he also served as a writer, director, and producer. For his performance, he received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy and was named America's Funniest Man by Life magazine. Previously, Carell gained prominence as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart between 1999 and 2005. Following his television work, he starred in various comedy films throughout his career.
