Biography
Stephen Chow Sing-chi is a Hong Kong filmmaker, producer, and actor born on June 22, 1962. He is the son of Ling Po Yee and Chow Yik Sheung and was raised by his mother following his parents' divorce when he was seven. Chow attended Heep Woh Primary School in Kowloon. He grew up as a fan of Bruce Lee and martial arts. His given name is derived from an essay by the Tang dynasty poet Wang Bo. Chow has two sisters, Chow Man Kei and Chow Sing Ha. He is widely recognized for his mo lei tau style of comedy, which has significantly influenced Chinese popular culture.
