Biography
Sornchai Chatwiriyachai, also known by the nicknames Chua or Sonny, is an actor who completed his studies in performing arts at Chulalongkorn University. He serves as a founder and the artistic director of Malongdu Theatre, an organization also referred to as Theatre of the Oppressed. Based in Bangkok, this socially engaged company focuses on exploring complex issues related to human rights, oppression, and various social and political challenges. The group conducts work with diverse populations, including the elderly, youth, primary-school students, and individuals with disabilities. In addition to his work in theatre, Sornchai is a writer and translator who publishes his work under the pen name Pin Paradigm.
