Biography
Johannes Joe Taslim is an Indonesian actor, model, and martial artist of Chinese descent. Born on June 23, 1981, in Palembang, South Sumatra, he was exposed to various martial arts from a young age, including wushu, taekwondo, and pencak silat. He eventually focused on judo, serving as a member of the Indonesian national judo team from 1997 to 2009. During his athletic career, he achieved several accolades, including a gold medal at the 2008 Pekan Olahraga Nasional and three medals at the Southeast Asian Games, consisting of one silver and two bronze. He is recognized for his background as a professional athlete and his subsequent transition into the entertainment industry as an actor and model.
