Simon David Kinberg is an American filmmaker born on August 2, 1973, in London, England, United Kingdom. He is known for writing and producing a number of films in the X-Men film franchise for 20th Century Fox, as well as producing other projects for Fox such as The Martian, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. Kinberg made his directorial debut with the 2019 film Dark Phoenix, for which he also wrote the script. His professional credits include work in both movies and television.
