Overview
Logan is a 2017 American superhero film directed by James Mangold. The movie serves as the third and final installment in the Wolverine trilogy and is the tenth film in the X-Men series. Hugh Jackman stars as the titular character, a role based on the Marvel Comics figure Wolverine, while Patrick Stewart reprises his role as Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X. The cast also includes Dafne Keen and Boyd Holbrook. Set in the near future, the story follows a weary Logan who cares for an ailing Professor X at a hideout located on the Mexican border. Logan attempts to distance himself from the world and his legacy, but his seclusion is interrupted when a young mutant arrives while being pursued by dark forces.
