Biography

Shizuka Ishibashi is a Japanese actress born on July 8, 1994, in Tokyo. She is the second of three daughters of actors Ryo Ishibashi and Mieko Harada. She began classical ballet at age four and studied at ballet schools in Boston and Calgary from 2009 before returning to Japan in 2013. Initially active as a contemporary dancer, she transitioned to acting in 2015. Her breakthrough role came in 2017 with the leading part in Yuya Ishii's film "The Tokyo Night Sky Is Always the Densest Shade of Blue." She is represented by the talent agency Plage and has since appeared in films such as "Tezuka's Barbara" (2019) and "Death Days" (2022).
