Rondi Anne Reed is an American actress of stage and screen who was born on October 26, 1952, in Dixon, Illinois. She is a longtime member of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where she has appeared in more than 50 productions. Her Broadway stage credits include appearances in The Grapes of Wrath in 1990 and The Rise and Fall of Little Voice in 1994. In 2005, she originated the role of Madame Morrible in the Chicago production of the musical Wicked, later returning to the role in 2008. She also originated the role of Mattie Fae Aiken in the 2007 Broadway production of August: Osage County, earning the 2008 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play.
