Rodney Arnold Grant is an American actor born on March 9, 1959, in Macy, Nebraska. As a Native American, he was raised on the Omaha Reservation in Macy. He is widely known for his role as Wind In His Hair in the 1990 film Dances with Wolves. His other film appearances include War Party, Powwow Highway, Geronimo: An American Legend, Wagons East!, White Wolves III: Cry of the White Wolf, The Substitute, Wild Wild West, and John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars. In television, he portrayed Chingachgook in the series Hawkeye, which aired from 1994 to 1995. Additionally, he has made guest appearances in television series such as Due South, Two, and the Stargate SG-1 episode Spirits.
