Biography
Kevin Michael Costner is an American actor and filmmaker born on January 18, 1955. Throughout his career, he has received two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Costner gained early roles in films such as Fandango, American Flyers, and Silverado. He rose to prominence with performances in The Untouchables and No Way Out in 1987. His subsequent film credits include Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Dances with Wolves, JFK, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Bodyguard, A Perfect World, and Wyatt Earp. In 1995, he starred in and co-produced Waterworld. He also earned two Academy Awards for his work on the film Dances with Wolves.
