Robert Webber was an American character actor born in Santa Ana, California, on October 14, 1924, and he died on May 19, 1989, at the age of 64. Over a 40-year career that included 125 known acting credits, he avoided typecasting by playing a wide variety of roles, occasionally landing leading roles such as in the 1965 film Hysteria. Before his film career, Webber performed in small stage shows and Broadway plays, and he served a stint in the army. His film work includes the role of Juror 12 in the 1957 film 12 Angry Men, appearances in war films such as The Dirty Dozen in 1967 and Midway in 1976, and roles in The Great White Hope and Revenge of the Pink Panther.
