Phil Brown was an American actor and director. He majored in dramatics at Stanford University and was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Brown played early stage roles with the Group Theater in New York. After the Group Theater folded, he moved to Hollywood and worked in motion pictures. He was involved with the Actors' Laboratory, a theater group. Brown appeared in Robert Siodmak's 1946 film, The Killers, alongside William Conrad and Charles McGraw. He had a career spanning over 60 known credits. Brown was born on April 30, 1916, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and passed away on February 9, 2006, at the age of 89.
