Paul Thomas Wasilewski, known professionally as Paul Wesley, is an American actor, writer, director, and producer. Born on July 23, 1982, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he is also known by the names Paul Wasilewski, Paweł Wasilewski, and Pawe. In addition to English, he speaks Polish, having spent four months of every year in Poland until he was 16 years old.
His television debut was on the NBC soap Another World, where he played Sean McKinnon. In 2001, credited as Paul Wasilewski, he was a main cast member of the CBS television series Wolf Lake, portraying Luke Cates. His television credits also include roles in 24, 8 Simple Rules, American Dreams, Army Wives, Cane, Everwood, Guiding Light, Smallville, and The O.C.
