Nina Dobrev, born Nikolina Konstantinova Dobreva on January 9, 1989, is a Bulgarian-born Canadian actress. Raised in Toronto, she is recognized for her work in both television and film. She gained significant prominence for her dual roles as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on the supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries, which aired on The CW.
