Candice Rene King, born Candice Rene Accola on May 13, 1987, in Houston, Texas, is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Caroline Forbes in the television series The Vampire Diaries, as well as her recurring role as the same character on the spin-off series The Originals and Legacies. In December 2006, she independently released her debut album, It's Always the Innocent Ones, in the United States. She also toured as a backing singer for Miley Cyrus's Best of Both Worlds Tour and appeared as herself in the 2008 concert film Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert. Additionally, she has made guest appearances in television series including How I Met Your Mother and Supernatural.
