Nicole Ari Parker Kodjoe is an American actress and model born on October 7, 1970. She began her career with roles in independent films including The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995), Boogie Nights (1997), and 200 Cigarettes (1999). Her television work includes appearances on Second Time Around, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and The Deep End. She achieved breakthrough success starring in the Showtime drama Soul Food from 2000 to 2004. Her film credits include Blue Streak (1999), Brown Sugar (2002), and Welcome Home Ro. She also appeared in The Adventures of Sebastian Cole, which won at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival.
