Faxon began performing with the Los Angeles-based improvisational and sketch comedy troupe The Groundlings in 2001. He has appeared in various comedic films, including Orange County, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Bad Teacher, and Zookeeper. Faxon has also had roles in television series such as Ben and Kate, Married, and Disenchantment, where he voices the character Elfo. He is an alumnus of The Groundlings and has a long list of acting credits, with over 99 known credits.
