Known for his intimidating stature, he was signed by the Washington Redskins in 1984, played in the USFL with the Denver Gold in 1985 and the Arizona Outlaws in 1986, and finished his career with the British Columbia Lions in the Canadian Football League the following year. Transitioning to film, Taliferro made his first film appearance in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit in 1993 as a security guard. His other film credits include Armageddon, Life, Half Past Dead, and the crime drama A Day in the Life. He passed away from a stroke on May 4, 2006, at the age of 44.
