Marisa Mell was an Austrian actress born as Marlies Theres Moitzi in Graz, Austria, on February 24, 1939, and she passed away on May 16, 1992, at the age of 53. She became a cult figure of 1960s Italian B-movies and was credited with 71 acting roles. In 1963, she was involved in a violent automobile accident in France that left her unconscious for six hours and caused facial disfigurement to her right eye area and lip. Following two years of plastic surgery, her face healed with no remaining damage except for a distinctive curl of her upper lip. During her career, she declined a seven-year Hollywood contract because of the restrictive terms of the agreement.

She spent the next two years undergoing plastic surgery. Ultimately, no damage remained in her face except for a distinctive curl of her upper lip.

During her career, she turned down a seven-year Hollywood contract. She remarked that while the payment would have been great, the contract was a whole book and joked that she thought even to go to the toilet she would have needed permission. Marisa Mell passed away on May 16, 1992, at the age of 53.
