Marina Foïs is a French actress born on January 21, 1970, in Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine, France. She comes from a family with Russian, Jewish Egyptian, German, and Italian ancestry. At the age of 16, Foïs was discovered for her comedy work in The School for Wives in 1986. She later joined The Royal Imperial Green Rabbit Company, which became Les Robins des Bois, a troupe composed of students from the Cours Florent taught by Isabelle Nanty. The troupe caught the attention of Dominique Farrugia in 1996 and went on to act and direct in the Comédie+ show La Grosse Émission. Marina Foïs is known for her acting work, with 117 known credits.
