Maggie Cheung is a Hong Kong actress born on September 20, 1964, in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong. Considered one of the most successful and internationally acclaimed actresses in Asia, she has received numerous accolades. Her record-breaking wins include five Hong Kong Film Awards and five Golden Horse Awards in the Best Actress category. On the international stage, she is best known for winning the Silver Bear for Center Stage in 1992 and the Cannes Film Festival Award for Clean in 2004. These honors made her the first Asian actress to receive the Cannes award and the only Asian actress to win Best Actress awards at two of the three major European film festivals. Her stage name is written as 張曼玉, and she is also known as Trương Mạn N.
