Kenji Kodama is a Japanese anime director and storyboard artist born in Hokkaido on December 13, 1949. His real name uses the same reading as his stage name. He is a member of the Japanese Animation Creators Association, and his wife is animator and illustrator Sachiko Kamimura. During the 1970s and 1980s, Kodama worked as a storyboard artist under the name Seiji Miyamoto. He is best known for serving as one of the main directors on the long-running anime series Case Closed, which is also known as Detective Conan, as well as the City Hunter series and Lupin III Part III. He has thirty-eight known credits primarily focused on directing.
