Kane Brett Robinson, known professionally as Kano, is a British rapper, songwriter, and actor born on May 21, 1985. Hailing from East Ham, London, he is recognized as a pioneer of grime music, contributing to the genre alongside artists such as Wiley and Dizzee Rascal. His fifth studio album, Made in the Manor, received a nomination for the 2016 Mercury Prize and earned the award for Best Album at the 2016 MOBO Awards. In his career as an actor, Robinson is best known for his portrayal of the character Sully in the television series Top Boy.
