Kali Michele Rocha (born December 5, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American actress. She is recognized for playing Karen Rooney, the mother and vice‑principal on the Disney Channel sitcom Liv and Maddie, a role she also co‑wrote four episodes for. Her television work includes Mary Burns on Man with a Plan, Summer Dickie on the sitcom Sherri, Principal Emma Wiggins on Teachers, and Dr. Sydney Heron in seasons seven and eight of Grey’s Anatomy. Rocha provided the voice of the 911 operator in the film Buried and appeared as a flight attendant in the comedies Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers. She is married to sound mixer and editor Michael Krikorian and the couple have two children.
