She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and has worked in film, television, video games, and theatre. Her film roles include playing Ophelia in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. She is married to Scottish actor John Hannah. Together, they have appeared in the BBC One drama series New Street Law, the ITV production Rebus, the film Sliding Doors, and onstage at London's Bush Theatre in A Bright Light Shining.
