Biography
Jennifer Connelly is an American actress born on December 12, 1970. She began her career as a child model before transitioning to acting with her debut in the 1984 film Once Upon a Time in America. Early roles included the horror film Phenomena, the fantasy musical Labyrinth, and the superhero film The Rocketeer. Her performance in Dark City garnered critical praise, and her portrayal of a drug addict in Requiem for a Dream further established her dramatic range. Connelly won an Academy Award for her role in A Beautiful Mind and has also appeared in films such as Mulholland Falls, House of Sand and Fog, Blood Diamond, and American Pastoral.
