James Wolk is an American actor also known as Jimmy. He was born on March 22, 1985, in Farmington Hills, Michigan, United States, to parents Robert, a shoe salesman, and Edie, a teacher. Wolk has established a notable television career with starring roles across various networks and streaming platforms. His television credits include the CBS comedy series The Crazy Ones, the AMC period drama series Mad Men, and the CBS drama thriller series Zoo, the latter of which he was cast as the lead in November 2014 based on the novel by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge.

In addition to these projects, Wolk has appeared in the CBS All Access psychological thriller series Tell Me a Story and the HBO superhero limited series Watchmen. His acting work also encompasses appearances in Shameless and Harley Quinn.

Outside of his acting career, Wolk is involved in philanthropic efforts. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Brad Cohen Tourette Foundation and volunteered from 2009 to 2012 at Camp Twitch and Shout, a camp located in Winder, Georgia, for children ages seven to seventeen who have Tourette syndrome. While volunteering at the camp, he met schoolteacher Elizabeth Jae Lynch, and the two were married in June 2015.
