Biography
Jack Gleeson is an Irish actor born on 20 May 1992. He is best known for his portrayal of Joffrey Baratheon in the HBO television series Game of Thrones, a role he held from 2011 until 2014. Following his tenure on the series, Gleeson took a hiatus from his acting career. He eventually returned to the screen, participating in independent theatre and appearing in the 2020 BBC miniseries Out of Her Mind. Most recently, Gleeson appeared in the 2023 Irish thriller film In the Land of Saints and Sinners. His career reflects a transition from high-profile television work to a variety of independent and international projects.
