Hiroshi Harada is a Japanese male film director born in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan on June 13, 1962. He began his career as an entertainer in 1976. Harada is known for directing films and television shows, with 21 known credits. He has also worked under the pseudonyms Hisaaki Etsu and Hisaaki Ez. Harada's work often explores themes of childhood bullying, a subject he experienced firsthand. His film adaptation of Midori: the girl with the camellias, based on a manga by Suehiro Maruo, is a notable cult film and one of the few anime of the ero-guro genre.
