Overview

Blue Dragon is a Japanese anime television series produced by Studio Pierrot that serves as an adaptation of the video game series created by Mistwalker. The program was broadcast on TV Tokyo, with its first season running for 51 episodes between April 2007 and March 2008. The story begins when a mysterious and terrible enemy launches an attack on the small village inhabited by a character named Shu and his friend Kluke. Following this event, they encounter a warrior named Zola and a companion named Jiro, who assist them in discovering the unique ability to evoke shadows. As the narrative progresses, Shu and his fellow shadow wielders seek assistance at Jibral castle. Upon gaining an audience with the king, Zola requests permission to examine the Book of the Beginning. The series, which features voice performances from actors including Yuri Lowenthal, Sam Riegel, Michelle Ruff, and Roy Samuelson, continued with a second season titled Blue Dragon: Trials of the Seven Shadows.
