Fennie Yuen Kit-Ying, also known as Fanny Yuen Yuan Chieh-Ying, is a Hong Kong actress born on September 15, 1969, in Hong Kong, China. She was discovered in 1985 by Raymond Wong Pak-Ming while arguing with her boyfriend and joined Cinema City and Films Company at under the age of sixteen. Early in her career, she formed the Happy Girls group alongside Loletta Lee Lai-Chun, May Lo Mei-Wei, and Charine Chan Ka-Ling, starring in the Happy Ghost series. During the early 1990s, she appeared in wuxia films such as The Swordsman and Tai Chi Master. She signed a per-drama contract with TVB in 1991 and briefly joined the music scene by releasing two solo albums before suffering from anorexia in 1994.
