Fahim Fazli is an Afghan-American actor and author who was born on May 30, 1966, in Kabul, Afghanistan. He had a privileged childhood until the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, which resulted in his family fleeing to Pakistan before eventually moving to the United States. He relocated to California to pursue an acting career and has starred in films including Iron Man, Argo, and Superman. In addition to his acting work, Fazli returned to Afghanistan to serve as an interpreter with the United States Marines between 2009 and 2010.
