Dalton Trumbo was an American screenwriter born on December 9, 1905, in Montrose, Colorado, USA. He was known for his work in writing. Trumbo was one of the Hollywood Ten, a group of professionals who were blacklisted by Hollywood after refusing to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1947. He continued working on major films, writing under pseudonyms or other authors' names. Trumbo's uncredited work was recognized with two awards. He died on September 10, 1976.
