Biography

Connie Booth, born Constance Booth on December 2, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, is an American actress and writer known for her work in British television. She portrayed Polly Sherman in the 1970s series Fawlty Towers, which she co-wrote with her then husband, John Cleese. Booth also appeared in Monty Python productions, including And Now for Something Completely Different and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. She retired from acting in 1995 and later worked as a psychotherapist. Booth was married to John Cleese, and her mother was an actress.
