She achieved recognition when she was selected as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for November 1969 and subsequently became the Playmate of the Year for 1970. Following her modeling success, Jennings pursued a career in acting and became known as the Queen of B movies, accumulating thirty-five known acting credits. Her life and career were cut short when she died in an automobile accident on October 3, 1979, at the age of twenty-nine.
