Claire Rhiannon Holt is an Australian actress born on June 11, 1988, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She is best known for her television and film roles, which include playing Emma Gilbert on the television show H2O: Just Add Water, Chastity Meyer in Mean Girls 2, and Rebekah Mikaelson on The CW series The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off series The Originals. She graduated from Stuartholme School in Toowong at the end of 2005. Outside of her acting career, Holt has been involved in several sports, including swimming, volleyball, water polo, and Tae-Kwon-Do, in which she holds a black belt. In her younger years, she also sang in her school choir.
