Biography
Christopher Jacob Abbott is an American actor recognized for his work in independent films. He made his feature film debut in 2011 with Martha Marcy May Marlene and his Broadway debut in the same year in a revival of The House of Blue Leaves. Abbott received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Male Lead for the 2015 drama James White. His filmography includes supporting roles in A Most Violent Year, It Comes at Night, Possessor, Black Bear, and Poor Things. In 2018, he appeared as astronaut David Scott in the biographical drama First Man. He also portrayed Capt. Yossarian in the 2019 Hulu miniseries Catch-22.
