Known for her work in both mainstream and Category-III cult films, her notable acting credits include Sex and Zen, Naked Killer, Remains of a Woman, Mahjong, and The Kid. For her performance in Remains of a Woman, she won Best Actress at the 1993 Golden Horse Film Festival awards. She later won Best Supporting Actress at the 2000 Hong Kong Film Awards for The Kid.
