Brendan James Fraser, born December 3, 1968, is an American-Canadian actor. He gained early recognition with roles in Encino Man and School Ties in 1992. Fraser became widely known for starring in The Mummy trilogy from 1999 to 2008. His filmography includes a range of genres, from comedy and adventure to drama, with notable appearances in Gods and Monsters, Crash, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. After a decline in film roles from the late 2000s to mid-2010s, Fraser's career saw renewed attention following his acclaimed performance in The Whale, for which he received an Academy Award.
